1. Who we are and scope of this notice
ADSINI SDN. BHD. (Company No. 202401023742 (1569591-X)) operates AdSini, a Malaysia-focused advertising media catalogue and proposal-led campaign service. For personal data processed for our own commercial purposes, ADSINI SDN. BHD. acts as the data controller.
This notice applies to personal data processed through adsini.my, AdSini account and dashboard features, campaign enquiries, advertiser and media-owner communications, proposal preparation, customer support and related business interactions. It is intended to provide the written notice required by Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709), as amended from time to time.
2. Personal data we may collect
Please do not provide identity-card numbers, passport details, health information or other sensitive personal data unless we specifically request it for a lawful and necessary purpose.
- Identity and professional details such as name, job title, company or agency name and business role.
- Contact information such as email address, telephone number and WhatsApp contact details.
- Account and authentication information needed to provide restricted platform access, account status and role information.
- Campaign and enquiry information such as target locations, media codes, preferred formats, campaign dates, budget indications, objectives, creative or production requirements and messages you send to us.
- Media-owner or supplier information such as business details, media asset information, availability, authorised contact persons and supporting documents supplied for review.
- Technical and usage information such as device/browser information, IP-related information, page interactions, referring pages and analytics information where optional analytics has been allowed.
- Correspondence, support records and records reasonably required to manage enquiries, complaints, disputes, security events or legal obligations.
3. Sources of personal data
- Directly from you when you browse, register, sign in, submit an enquiry, request a proposal, communicate with us or provide media-owner information.
- From the company, agency, employer or media owner you represent where they provide your business contact details for an authorised business purpose.
- Automatically from the website, authentication/security systems and optional analytics technologies, subject to your privacy choices.
- From public or legitimate business sources where reasonably necessary to verify company, media, contact or transaction information.
4. Why we process personal data
- To operate, secure and administer AdSini's website, accounts, dashboards and public media catalogue.
- To respond to enquiries, prepare proposals, check media availability and coordinate advertising or media-owner discussions.
- To verify users, companies, media submissions, account roles and authorised access where appropriate.
- To provide customer support, maintain business records, prevent misuse and investigate security incidents.
- To improve website usability and campaign-planning content using optional analytics where you have chosen to allow it.
- To send service communications and, where permitted, relevant business or marketing communications, subject to available choices and applicable law.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, audit, dispute-resolution and enforcement requirements.
5. Whether providing personal data is mandatory
Some information is optional. However, information marked as required, or information reasonably necessary to verify an account, respond to an enquiry, prepare a proposal or administer a business relationship, must be provided if you want us to perform that function. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to create or maintain access, verify a request, prepare a proposal or continue the relevant service.
6. Who we may disclose personal data to
We do not sell personal data as a standalone commercial product.
- Technology, hosting, authentication, security, analytics, communications and other service providers acting for or supporting AdSini.
- Media owners, venue operators, production partners, contractors or suppliers where disclosure is reasonably necessary to assess availability, prepare or fulfil a requested campaign.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors, accountants, insurers and consultants where necessary.
- Banks, payment or finance service providers where a transaction or payment process requires them.
- Government departments, regulators, law-enforcement authorities, courts or other parties where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
- A purchaser, investor, successor or professional adviser in connection with a genuine corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.
7. International and cross-border processing
Some technology and service providers used to operate the website, authentication, cloud hosting, communications or analytics may process or store information outside Malaysia. Where personal data is transferred outside Malaysia, we take reasonable steps to use service providers and safeguards consistent with applicable Malaysian personal-data-protection requirements, including applicable cross-border-transfer requirements.
8. Cookies, local storage and analytics
AdSini uses essential browser storage where needed for site or account functionality. Optional Google Analytics is not loaded by AdSini until you choose to allow analytics through the privacy-choice banner. Your analytics choice is stored in your browser so the site can remember it.
You may reopen Privacy Choices from the site footer and change your analytics preference. Withdrawing permission stops AdSini from intentionally sending future optional analytics events from subsequent interactions, although previously created browser cookies or records may remain until they expire or are removed under the relevant provider or browser controls.
9. Security and retention
We use administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to manage the business relationship, maintain legitimate records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet security needs and satisfy legal, tax, accounting or regulatory requirements. Retention periods differ depending on the record and applicable obligations.
10. Marketing and communications
We may send communications relating to an enquiry, account, proposal or active business relationship. Where we send promotional communications, you may ask us to stop using your contact details for that purpose. Service, security, contractual or legally required messages may still be sent where necessary.
11. Your rights and choices
To make a personal-data request, email hi@adsini.my with the subject 'Personal Data Request'. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting on a request.
- Request access to personal data held about you, subject to applicable legal exceptions and procedures.
- Request correction of personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or not up to date.
- Withdraw consent or request limits on processing where the law and the relevant processing basis allow it.
- Change optional analytics choices through the Privacy Choices control.
- Ask questions, raise concerns or exercise any other data-subject rights available under applicable Malaysian law.
12. Children
AdSini is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal data from children for account or campaign services. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us inappropriately, contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.
13. Data protection officer and breach governance
Malaysian law requires appointment of a Data Protection Officer in specified circumstances. AdSini reviews its processing activities against the applicable thresholds and monitoring criteria. Where a DPO appointment is legally required, the required appointment, registration and business contact arrangements will be maintained in accordance with applicable requirements.
AdSini maintains procedures for assessing personal-data security incidents and for making notifications to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner and affected individuals where notification is required by applicable law.
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services, processing activities or legal requirements change. The current version and last-updated date will be published on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or other appropriate channels.
